I finally got to drive the new road between Kingman AZ and Las Vegas, over the new bridge that bypasses driving over the Hoover Dam. It eliminates the hazardous switchback turns in the final mile going down to the dam and back up again. There’s a big walkway where pedestrians can now look down onto the dam and get a fantastic view. Unfortunately you can’t see the dam when driving eastbound over the bridge because of the width of the roadway.
